General

All Kards is a digital card wallet app that lets you photograph and store all your physical cards on your phone. Instead of carrying around a thick wallet full of loyalty cards, library cards, memberships, and more, you keep them all in one app.

Yes, All Kards is completely free to use with all features included. No subscriptions, no in-app purchases, no ads.

Any physical card except payment cards (credit/debit cards). Common examples include loyalty cards, library cards, gym memberships, insurance cards, student IDs, business cards, transit passes, gift cards, and more.

All Kards is focused on convenience cards that you need to show or scan. Credit card storage requires additional security certifications. We recommend using your device's built-in wallet (Google Wallet, Apple Wallet) for payment cards.

No. All Kards works completely offline. All your data is stored locally on your device.

All Kards is currently available for Android devices. An iOS version is coming soon.

Adding & Managing Cards

Tap the "+" button at the bottom center of the screen. You can either take a photo with your camera or choose an image from your gallery. Add a name, select a group, and optionally add notes. Then tap "Save Card".

Yes! When adding or viewing a card, you can add both a front and back image. In the card detail view, swipe or tap to flip between the two sides.

You have two options: (1) Pinch to zoom — in the card detail view, use two fingers to zoom in up to 5x magnification. (2) Landscape mode — rotate your phone for a full-screen, edge-to-edge view perfect for scanning barcodes at checkout.

Yes. Open the card detail view and use the "Replace Front Image" or "Replace/Add Back Image" buttons to update images at any time without deleting the card.

When creating or editing a card, there's a Notes field where you can add up to 500 characters — card numbers, expiration dates, PINs, or personal reminders.

Open the card detail view and tap the trash icon in the top-right corner. You'll be asked to confirm before the card is permanently deleted.

Open the card detail view and tap the heart icon. Favorited cards appear in the Favorites carousel on your home screen for quick access.

Groups & Organization

Groups are categories that help you organize your cards. For example, all your loyalty cards can go in one group, gym memberships in another.

Yes! The app includes 9 ready-made groups: Loyalty Cards, Library, Gym & Fitness, ID Cards, Business Cards, Insurance, Transit, Memberships, and Other. You can use them as-is, customize them, or create your own.

Go to the Groups tab and tap "+ New". Choose a name, pick from 55+ icons across 14 categories, and select one of 18 colors to personalize your group.

On the Cards tab, use the sort chips at the top to sort by Date (newest first), Name (A-Z), or Group (organized by category).

Yes. On the Cards tab, use the search bar at the top to find any card by name. Search is instant and filters as you type.

Security & Privacy

Open the card you want to protect and toggle on "Protect This Card". The card will now require authentication (biometric or PIN) to view.

Protected cards display a blurred preview of the card image, a lock icon in the center, the text "Protected" and "Tap to unlock". The card name and group are still visible for identification.

Biometric (fingerprint or Face ID, depending on your device) and an optional 4-digit app PIN set in Settings. The app tries biometric first, then falls back to PIN.

Yes. All card data and images are stored locally on your device — nothing is sent to any server. Your PIN is stored using your device's encrypted secure storage.

No. Locked cards show only a blurred overlay. The actual card image is completely hidden until you authenticate with fingerprint, Face ID, or PIN.

Backup & Restore

Go to Settings > Data > Backup Data. The app creates a complete backup file with all your cards, images, groups, and settings. You can save it to cloud storage, email it, or share however you like.

Everything: all card images (front and back), card names and notes, group configurations, favorite status, lock/protection status, and theme preference.

Go to Settings > Data > Restore from Backup. Select your backup file, and all your data will be restored. Note: restoring replaces all current data in the app.

Yes! Backup your data on the old phone, save the file to cloud storage or email it, install All Kards on your new phone, then go to Settings > Restore from Backup and select your file.

Display & Customization

Yes. Go to Settings > Display > Theme and choose Light, Dark, or Auto (follows your device's system theme).

Grid view shows card thumbnails in a 2-column grid — great for visual browsing. List view shows cards in a compact format — ideal for scanning a large collection. Toggle between them on the Cards tab.

Troubleshooting

Make sure you've granted camera permission to All Kards. Go to your device Settings > Apps > All Kards > Permissions and enable Camera access.

Use landscape mode for full-screen viewing at checkout. Use pinch-to-zoom to magnify the barcode. Make sure the original photo was taken in good lighting. You can replace the image anytime.

Since cards are stored locally, uninstalling will remove your saved data. Always create a backup first via Settings > Data > Backup Data.
